Covici Friede printed their own edition probably in early 1937 using photo-offset plates made from the McBride first edition. This second printing without McBride's logo on page 269 mentions Steinbeck's OF MICE AND MEN on the front panel of the dust jacket. Goldstone and Payne A1c.
