Seine vielfältigen Untersuchungen haben das philosophische anthropologische psychologische und soziologische Denken unserer Zeit grundlegend beeinflusst. Piaget war zwischen 1926 und 1954 Professor für Psychologie in Neuchâtel Genf und Lausanne. Bis 1967 war er Direktor des Internationalen Erziehungsbüros ab 1932 leitete er auch das Institut Jean-Jacques Rousseau. An important and now scarce collection of carefully selected essays - some reprints of classics others original - which collectively advanced the 'evolutionary epistemology' position to supersede crude nature-versus-nurture and simplistic socio-biological theories.
