Engraved by Louis Jean Allais after Jacques Delaplace published in the series 'Collection générale des Portraits de MM. les Députés à l'Assemblée Nationale Constituante tenue à Versailles le 4. Mai 1789'. This series was published by Nicolas-François Le Vachez in 1789. Louis Jean Allais 1762-1833 was a French engraver and printmaker in aquatint. Jacques Delaplace Vernon 1767-after 1831 was a French court painter and miniature portrait painter. In very good condition cropped within platemark. Some faint soiling in the margin edges.
