1963355490720761London: Cape 1963. First Edition. UNCORRECTED PROOF of the First UK Edition. A softcover. Usual Cape pale green wrappers with Cape logos. Minor surface loss in places to the spine and a couple of faint creases to the bottom left hand corner of the rear cover. Overall VG indeed. I do not believe that this proof was issued with a proof dust wrapper. NB: a note on Cape proofs of this title. There are 3 Cape proofs noted with no priority established and I am indebted to Jon Gilbert the noted Deighton specialist at Adrian Harrington for bringing this to my attention. This is an example of the rarest of the three known proofs. The Lettering to the front cover of the Action Cook Book proof is in SERIPH type-face and below the Author's name there are additional words: Designed by Paul Peter Piech F.S.T.D. Photographs/scans available upon request Cape paperback
