This book of cocktail recipes features "Thoughts for the occasion" and quippy quotes by famous British celebrities of the time 19 total photographed in their profession and with a facsimile signature to advertise their specialty cocktails using Booth's Gin. At the rear of the book is a map and list of "elect and prodigal places wherein Booth's" is served as well as 22 more cocktail recipes provided by lead bartenders of each establishment including their photographs on cocktail shakers. Also contained are 11 "Further Enticements" and award-winning cocktails from Daily Mail Competitions and British Empire Cocktail Competitions. Plus list of theatres that serve Booth's Gin and a Memoranda section for your own cocktail recipes at rear. A scarce British cocktail guide in good condition unfortunately missing its back cover and with some rusting to the staples. Clean contents. An interesting 1930's period piece. Quite uncommon.
