Gilt lettering to spine rubbed and with some loss near top spine where there are areas of loss to original cloth. Gilt lettering to rear board rubbed and the remains of ornate blindstamped design now faint. Some wear and rubbing to boards and board corners. All edges gilt. Small 8vo 12.4 x 18.2cm. Hinges sound. Original primrose yellow endpapers slightly soiled but uncracked at gutters. Inscription to front flyleaf: 'To dear Clara this small volume is presented with the best wishes of her affectionate Friend F Grout' . Dec. 18th 1851'. Mild dampstaining to blank front endpages only.
