1962QF42
DJ is really Fine or to split hairs it's Near Fine Not price clipped and in mylar. Book has no writing or marking no bookplate and the book itself is that bright red book cloth with lettering in gold. Sixty-two years old and has had a charmed existence. Photo of Bill on the back reflectively examing a book. . . but look at the shelf behind him. He must have had every book in the Modern Library Series. And that's understandable. At the time he was probably the most noteable author in the Ramdom House stable. So if he called New York and said "Send me one of each of the Modern Library books." I'm sure in a few days several large heavy cartons arrived at the door.
Random House hardcover

1962fwtr1stBest
PLEASE SEE PHOTOS WITH MORE IF WANTED. This is one of the best listed by me or on the internet as seen in photos price is intact and no Book Club indent on the back cover. the reason you see so many 1st Printing of this title is because the Book Clubs preordered ONE MILLION copies as well as the Real 1st Printing of only about 50000. Now we are talking about 1962 not Harry Potter's 3rd book or Steven King's last 50 books. But to please the book clubs they had 1st Printing stated also but did have to keep the indent on the back cover bottom near the spinesmall square. There is one scratch on the back of the dustacketgotta look for it to know it and minor brusing to top spine book. I think that is it. Has all 1st issue points $4.95 red stain top edge no indent rear cover stated first printing. No writing. dustacket protector.

check the others listed by highest price then check my price. I have about 6 of these true 1st at gap filler prices. And yes I have like 20 photos if you would like to see moreyou should really see what you are buying it leaves no questions to guess at.
RAMDOM HOUSE hardcover
fwtrFEL
PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. IT HAS ITS SLIPCASE AND IN NEAR FINE CONDITION. Of course this replica is not really just like the True First Printing newer acid free papermaking the book thinner so the real one does not fit. Added info on the copyright pageto not fool anyone. But makes a nice gapfiller that can be kept even if you buy a true first.
FEL hardcover
1962fwtr,1stDjBetter
PLEASE SEE PHOTOS MORE AVAILABLE. The reason this book has so many stated First Printings is because the book clubs ordered ONE MILLION this was in 1962. Not a Harry Potter 3rd book or Steven Kings last 75 books. The difference is the True First do not have the small square indent on the back cover at the bottom near the spine. And one with a decent dustjacket is getting scarceI bought up about 35 about 25 years ago and I am on my last 7 or so. The only defect is a previous owner name 1st leaf and minor bruising to spine ends.
RANDOM HOUSE hardcover
