First Edition. <br /><br />Quarto 11 x 8 1/2 inches; 280 x 217 mm 28 pages mimeographed typescript with an original screenprint overlaid on the stapled card wrappers. <br /><br />A tribute to Rev. John R. Scott who was was sentenced in 1968 to two years in the Cuyahoga County Ohio Workhouse on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. "This book released in the first month of Scott's imprisonment is a testimonial from four of his friends" according to the introduction. The authors go on to say: "The fact remains that John R. Scott has been mauled in the blind execution of Justice." <br /><br />The book features prose poems and illustrations by d.a. levy r.j.s. pseudonym of Robert J. Sigmund T.L. Kryss and D.r. Wagner as well as a fabulous screenprint by T.L. Kryss on the upper wrapper; Kryss has contributed additional screenprints inside. "Published in a Vanishing edition of 255 copies" according to the title page. Published in March 1968 this book is notable also for being one of d.a. levy's last books; he committed suicide in November 1968 at age 26. <br /><br />OCLC shows 25 institutional holdings OCLC 2504681 and 671515461 but it is quite scarce in the antiquarian book trade. <br /><br />A stunning production featuring a screenprint by T.L. Kryss on the wrapper and additional screenprints inside. <br /><br />CONDITION: Light toning to extremities of wrappers some creasing to the wrapper silkscreen and light edge wear but internally clean and unmarked.
