All books are housed in a handmade red box.Each book is designated a "binder's copy" and is separate from the edition of 12 signed and numbered copies that were issued for sale. The poets are: Lawrence Ferlinghetti Jack Hirschman Ann Menebroker Belinda Subraman Father Luke Sreemanti Sengupta and Soheyl Dahi the founder of Sore Dove Press the publisher of this edition.</p><p>Ferlinghetti has signed his poem directly on the page containing his poem rather than on the limitation page. Hirschman and Dahi have signed their poems on the limitation page while the others have signed on slips of paper affixed to the limitation pages of their respective poems. Slight soiling to Dahi's poem otherwise Fine.</p><p>No other copies in commerce as of July 2 2017. No. 3871 of 4569. 4to. 255 pp. Anthology of late Medieval and Renaissance to Enlightenment French poetry that is sensual lewd erotic or plain naughy. The range is from the sublime to naughty with the Dubout illustrations decidedly of the latter camp and thus the soft porn campiness of the whole production. Being French the anthology exudes style and class even when it most boisterously violates all standards of decorum. Represented here are the greats Ronsard du Bellay Voltaire Diderot and many others less well-known from the 15th through the 18th century all underscoring the point that the fun in vulgarity is nothing new. A clean copy with the only qualification that there is a minor closed tear on the spine head and the lightest of crease marks on the base of the wraps. A Very Good copy.</p><p>SIGNED by Jack Micheline on the final page and dated 1974. A long poem on the U.S. and the Soviet Union dedicated to the poet Andre Vosnesensky rendered as Voznesensky in the poem itself and "In memory of Jack Kerouac and the inspired and living presence of Harold Goldfinger." Micheline 1929-1998 was closely associated with the Beat poets of San Francisco.</p><p>As almost always the case in this poem three lines "Hitler is here Hitler is here Hitler is here" are crossed out on the penultimate page. Laid in is a card 11 inches 28 cm long and folded in half giving Micheline's biography a list of publications and readings and information on how to book his lectures "$150 for the day". It states that "Kuboya" was published privately by Don Donahue although there's no such indication in the book. <br /><br /></p> Self-published books
