The D/W has a small chip to the bottom/middle of the front cover and a touch of minor edge wear elsewhere but is otherwise VG indeed. Bibliographical note: The correct First Edition has a reference in relation to A Century of Creepy Stories of nearly 100000 copies sold. Any figure shown which is higher than 100000 is from an early reprint D/W. Further note: This copy accords with McIlvaine B4a. Furthermore the English Catalogue of Books has the publication as being September 1934 Hutchinson hardcover

A former owner's neat - rather faint - name to the front free end-paper otherwise a fine copy. In the RARE D/W priced 7/6 net on green label to the spine. The D/W is the correct first issue with 26 titles by J. S. Fletcher to the front flap and 14 titles to the rear flap by Wyndham Martyn. The D/W is VG indeed with small chips to the spine ends not affecting any lettering and with a small chip with associated creasing to the bottom/middle of the back panel not affecting any lettering. The D/W has several insignificant short closed tears which do not detract from what is overall a very nice bright and un-faded copy of one of the scarcer PGW first editions in our experience from the 1930's.
