Page measures 11" x 15 7/8"<br/> <br/> This print published by the London Illustrated News on November 24 1855 features a birds eye view of Manhattan and Brooklyn from the approximate location of Liberty Island. The view is highly detailed showing the Battery Governor's island piers along the Hudson and East Rivers and Broadway. Major buildings are identifiable including Castle Garden Trinity Church and Brooklyn Borough Hall. A variety of ships are seen in the harbor. In very good condition with some tape residue in the margins. <br> <br> The Illustrated London News 1842-1971 was the first illustrated news magazine. It reported on British and world events including news of war art science disaster etc. Although the publication ceased in 2003 the company exists today as Illustrated London News Ltd. a publishing content and digital agency.<br/> <br/> London Illustrated News unknown
