Pages in each vary between 4pp -12pp. Evenly browned with occasional foxing small tears on edges issue no. 15 small pin-holes left edge suggesting the issues were bound together at one stage generally good in wrappers. Text in Chinese. 26.1 x 18.7cm. The Self-defence War against Vietnam also known as the Sino-Vietnamese War took place on the borders between the two nations from 17 February to 16 March 1979. Editorials in this collection mainly exoll Chinese military victories in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces. Numerous engravings throughout including several with a partial fold-out with an index of these preceding the periodicals and an engraved title page preceding that which states that this volume was released on July 16 1870. The Illustrated London News was the first illustrated weekly magazine in the world first published in May of 1842 and ran as a weekly for over 125 years ceasing publication in 2003 after a period of more limited circulation though the company still exists as a publishing content and digital agency.
