Binding with some chips and wear at extremities small bookplate on front pastedown endpaper torn a couple of other pages with minor tears not collated but a couple of issues with a page missing generally the contents seem complete slight aging; otherwise very good. This is a collection of the Illustrated London News that was probably used to promote subscriptions. The date on the tile page indicates 1852 but the actual issues seem to run from December 7 1844 to July 5 1845. This volume contains about twenty issues during that period but does not include every issue. In some of these promotional collections some issues are reprinted but the reprints are from 1852. A couple of pages are missing but the issues seem mostly complete. This volume was put out about ten years after the Illustrated London News began publication in May 1842. It contains some very interesting news and illustrations including an illustration of an 'electric telegraph' in the April12 1845 issue a very young Queen Victoria and Prince Albert engraving at a costume ball in the June 7 1845 issue and a tennis match in the February 1 1845 issue.

Flattened horizontal fold; toning to outer leaves. Very good. A single issue of this radical newspaper produced daily beginning on April 23 1970 by students at Yale. This issue published on the day of the epochal May Day rally on the New Haven Green held largely as a protest of the 1969 arrest of Bobby Searle and other Black Panther Party leaders. With information about the rally updates and history of the Panther trial information on legal aid faculty support etc. and with a brief "Comment" by Dale Kutnick urging nonviolence at protest events. This copy with the original insert containing a map of downtown New Haven service centers along with emergency contact numbers and a schedule of events including lists of speakers and music acts. A little-held publication; OCLC locates even fewer institutions with copies of this important issue. <br/> <br/> Strike News paperback

19346300Intenational News Photo 1934. No Binding. Near Fine. Siemel Sasha Original Black & white News Photo. 6.25 x 8 inches. 12/6/1934. Tiger Man .there is no one else so proficient at hunting jaguar with a spear. On the back of the photo is a very lengthy description of Siemel who had just come back from a trip where he bagged six more jaguars bringing his total to 125. One of the jaguars on this trip it weighed 310 pounds went for one of the dogs just before the hunters got their rifles ready. The brute killed three dogs. This image is of Siemel with a huge jaguar. The photo is in good shape and the lengthy description on the back could be neatly taken off to frame beneath the photo. A really unusual Siemel item. Intenational News Photo unknown
