Editorials in this collection mainly exoll Chinese military victories in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces. The issues were re-printed and distributed by the General Office of Jiangxi Provincial Government shortly after the editorials were published. Issues no. 9 and 10: single sheet printed on both sides pages numbered. Issue no. 14: two sheets printed on both side pages numbered. Staples removed leaving small pin holes edges torn a 5.5cm horizontal closed tear on lower section of Issue 9. Even foxing and some soiling. Text in Chinese. 26.5 x 19cm when folded. Combined edition of Chinese language newspaper reporting 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games 25 July to 9 August 1992 organised by Xinhua News Agency and published by Olympic Express Agency. It covers the period from July 4th to August 12th 1992 issued daily. This collection has a total of 39 issues bound together but lacks the first issue July 4th and the upper wrapper paper spine is damaged with loss pictorial lower wrapper present. Each issue runs for 8 pages printed on double sided. Binding very poor but the issues themselves are in good condition. Text in Chinese. 38 x 26.1cm. Working copy only. The 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona were the third Olympic Games the People's Republic of China participated in after a long absence 1956 - 1980. <br> <br>China won 16 gold 22 silver and 22 bronze medals in total and ranked 4th at that game. Many historical records were achieved for the Chinese team including a big breakthrough for the swimming team winning a combined 4 golds and 5 silvers. From first chapter- The Detroit News was the first newspaper in the world to install a radio broadcasting station and the first to increase its social usefulness by furnishing such a service to the public. When broadcasting was inaugurated in the summer of 1920 wireless telephony although it had reached a commercial stage and was already the hobby of a few enthusiastic experimenters still remained a mystery to the community in general and was looked upon by many as possibly a familiar source of enjoyment to their grandchildren but of no particular present importance. This sentiment was virtually changed overnight when In August 1920 The Detroit News installed its first transmitting station and commenced its regular broadcasting. Radio broadcasting is the broadcasting of audio sound sometimes with related metadata by radio waves to radio receivers belonging to a public audience. In terrestrial radio broadcasting the radio waves are broadcast by a land-based radio station while in satellite radio the radio waves are broadcast by a satellite in Earth orbit. To receive the content the listener must have a broadcast radio receiver radio. Stations are often affiliated with a radio network that provides content in a common radio format either in broadcast syndication or simulcast or both. The encoding of a radio broadcast depends on whether it uses an analog or digital signal. Birth Control News newspaper edited by Marie Stopes and associates in 1923 advanced public discussion of contraception family planning and reproductive reform in Britain during the early twentieth century birth control movement. The publication served as the official organ of the Society for Constructive Birth Control and Racial Progress the organization founded by Stopes to promote access to contraceptive knowledge and to publicize the work of birth control clinics in the United Kingdom. Appearing during a period when contraception remained controversial and often restricted in public discourse the newspaper circulated reports on medical developments clinic activity and legislative debates concerning reproductive health.
