1936016658Los Angeles CA: The New Symposium Press 1936. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. SIGNED and inscribed by the translator to Albert M. Bender noted Bay Area philanthropist. Mills Library retired book from the Albert Bender collection with bookplate but no other ex-libris markings except for 2 small "withdrawn" stamps on rear pastedown. In good clean solid condition. Covers are well-preseved but are faded along spine and at upper edges. One small torn area on front spine hinge exposing webbing and last bibliography page is bound slightly off-center at the spine tail but the binding in its entirety is perfectly reliable and sound. Interesting note by Hoffmann in his inscription that a section of this edition was removed for the final printing. The section is a commentary on anti-semitism in Germany at that time. Scarce.

The New Symposium Press hardcover
