Co. in 1896 merged into the Taylor Instrument Companies in 1907 and were well known for their precise and excellent thermometers. Taylor established the first research & development department in an American instrument industry in 1911 and proved key to the United States’ success in World War I manufacturing 99% of all altimeters airplane stratascopes inclinometers and oxygen systems.
