Additionally laid in is a brief romantic note on a small slip of paper. <br /> <br /> McBain began her career at 18 when she was signed as a contract player with Warner Brothers in 1959. Accompanied by a DVD of the film. This copy belonged to actress Christopher Norris with her name stamped in gold in the lower right hand corner of the front board. Norris played the role of young Marcie. Christopher Norris probably best known for her portrayal of nurse Gloria Ripples Brancusi in the television series Trapper John M.D. and her appearances in such films as Summer of 42 and Airport 75. Lady of the House is an American television biographical film about Sally Stanford a colorful and dynamic businesswoman. From 1940 to 1949 Stanford was madam of an elegant bordello house designed by Stanford White in the Nob Hill section of San Francisco which was frequented by California’s rich and powerful. Her empowerment and political savy led her In 1950 to move to nearby Sausaliito opening her own restaurant and eventually became mayor of the city. The film stars Dyan Cannon as the flamboyant Sally Stanford in one of her best performances opposite Armand Assante. The film is co-directed by Ralph Nelson and Vincent Sherman. Faint vertical crease throughout; long ago flattened. Mild corner wear; contents clean. Cannon the "Reunion Secretary" for the unit was in charge of publication and he has INSCRIBED the volume on the title page above his printed name: "To Comrade H. A. Smith with compliments." Holograph inscription on the front wrap which reads "comps H. A. S. to A. B. S." An extemely scarce pamphlet which was no doubt produced in small numbers. Company K of the 150th Ohio Volunteer Infantry was organized out of a group of volunteers almost entirely from Oberlin College who answered the Ohio Governor's call for 35000 troops to serve for 100 days during the summer of 1864 to defend existing Union railway lines and supply houses in the Mid-Atlantic including Washington. The regiment fought in a number of small skirmishes as well as the Battle of Fort Stevens where President Lincoln was quite nearly killed by Confederate sharpshooters. This regimental narrative if brief is detailed and difficult to find anywhere. Biographies of every soldier including details of their lives in the 49 years since their service are collected at the rear including most of their home addresses. Vol. 3 has some blue painter's tape on the front cover near the spine. A majority of the volumes have fraying to their ribbon bookmarks. Chipping and rubbing to some of the gold gilt edges of the textblocks. Most of the volumes' pages show overall light reader wear. Vol. 13 has some highlighting. The BBC however broadcast the uncut version in March of 1981. Doran William Cannon contributed to the final version of the production script. <br /><br />The present draft which is credited to Thompson alone includes revisions dated from 7 April through 6 June 1978. This was the very first screen adaptation of Aldous Huxley's dystopian novel which to date remains his most celebrated work.
