In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally smart. Light bumping and discolouration to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Minor marks to the boards and spine. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Pencil inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the occasional light spot. Publishers red cloth blind stamped and with gilt titling to upper board and spine. Three die stamped George 4th Regimental Insignia clipped from stationery pasted to front pastedown together with a hand coloured uniform depiction. Undated but early inscription to front end paper - To Captain E Burdett Pooley from his brother officer J.G.Leonard Chaplain. End papers lightly aged. Engraved title moderately foxed.
