Tan Son Nhut Air Base during 19551975 was a Republic of Vietnam Air Force RVNAF facility. It was located near the city of Saigon in southern Vietnam. The United States used it as a major base during the Vietnam War 19591975 stationing Army Air Force Navy and Marine units there. Following the Fall of Saigon it was taken over as a Vietnam People's Air Force VPAF facility and remains in use today. . 30th Weather Squadron unknown

1944488Canada: 97X Squadron Royal Air Force 1944. First edition. Paperback. Fair. Woolley P.W. Blue stapled pamphlet 35 pages a souvenir from the 97th air navigation training on Prince Edward Island. The condition is a bit rough with corners bent and curling some pencil marks to the front cover and a note one page indicating the previous owner's relation to one of the airmen. Soil and a pencilled notation to the tan rear cover. This book seems to have been written and produced by the members of Squadron 97X during the time of their stay on PEI for training. Flight Lieutenant E.F. Dobie and Flying Officer W.J. Birrell are listed as "Men Responsible" so they may have taken and editing hand to this pamphlet. Full page bio and pictures of 21 airmen along with a cartoon soccer match photo and description of a concert. Represented squadron members are Dobie Birrell Adams Allan Chapman Donelly Finnis Gowers Habgood Higgins Lee Lovell McCracken Owen Paris Reinstadtler Richardson Smart Spencer Stevenson Turner Williams and Woolley.
