Early edition 22nd printing. Bainville a French political writer and historian was a leading exponent of Conservative ideas between the two World Wars. Signed presentation from Bainville to Max Dorian on the half title page. Max Dorain is the pen-name of author Bernard Doreau. Doureau wrote a well-known biography of the Du Pont family with photographs by his wife Dixie Reynolds. Also with a single-page autograph letter signed from Bainville presenting the book. With a lengthy one-page autograph letter signed untranslated apparently from Robert Poulet- the French polemicist writer and literary critic. "Robert Poulet" written in a shaky hand at the top of the letter. An interesting association copy!
