Studio di Jacopo Bettazzi relativo all'opera del frate cappuccino Melitone da Perpignano intitolata Gregoriana Correctio illustrata, ampliata, & a conviicis vindicata, ubi omnia saecula... Bettazzi aveva proposto una riforma del calendario gregoriano in un'opera stampata a Firenze nel 1733 presso Paperini dal titolo Epitome operis paschalis Jacobi Bettazzi Pratensis ... proferens in prooemio necessitatem emendandi correctionem gregorianam... in cui proponeva di emendare il calendario gregoriano senza variare il calendario stesso ed il martiriologio e discuteva la questione relativa all'esatto anno della nascita di Cristo. Il nostro esemplare e' di grande interesse poiche' al p. ant. compare una lettera manoscritta con bella grafia dello stesso Bettazzi inviata da Firenze nel febbraio 1743.
