This Yiddish Socialist bi-monthly newspaper for Young people ran from Dec. 1, 1922 until sometime in 1949, in various formats at different times. Very interesting vision of a postwar world of Jewish Socialism by the surviving rememnant in Poland, clearly expressing the Bund position of Dokeit ("thereness") , remaining to build Jewish life within a socialist framework with other nationalities, rather than Zionism; this even on Polish soil in the immediate of the aftermath of the Shoah. Born in Latvia, Hillquit (1869-1933) and moved to New York City in 1886. He organized Jewish works in the city, and joined the Socialist Labor Party in the 1890s, which later became part of an amalgamated Socialist Party. He was a spokesperson and activist with the Party until his death. He had great facility in creating compromise and agreement, and wished to put socialist ideal into action through non-violent means.
