Si tratta del PSI del primo dopoguerra, della nascita del Pcd'I nel 1921 a Livorno e delle lotte politiche all'interno dell'Internazionale. Si "scopre" che alla sua fondazione il Partito comunista d'Italia (sezione dell'Internazionale comunista) non contemplava un segretario generale ma un comitato centrale composto da 15 membri che eleggeva al suo interno un comitato esecutivo di 5 membri: Bordiga Amadeo, Fortichiari Bruno, Grieco Ruggero, Repossi Luigi, Terracini Umberto. La carica di segretario generale esistente in URSS e ricoperta da Stalin venne istituita in Italia nel 1924 e ricoperta da Antonio Gramsci, era iniziata la bolscevizzazione, per alcuni, per altri la stalinizzazione. Una parte di storia d'Italia ormai dimenticata riappare: l'opposizione proletaria alla guerra di Libia (1912); la Settimana rossa (1914); l'insurrezione di Torino (1917); l'occupazione delle terre (1919); l'impresa Fiumana (1919); lo "sciopero delle lancette" (1920); la rivolta di Ancona (1920); gli Arditi del popolo...
