1925m1316<p>New York NY: Blue Ribbon Books 1925. RARE. Authorized Translation translator not named. This is the original first edition from 1925 not a reproduction. No dj. Copyright 1925 by Minton Balch & Company. Hardcover. Red cloth over boards. Multiple ownership stamps and names inside both front and back covers. Binding split at back board and after flyleaf in the front but binding remains attached. Occasional underlining and staining throughout. Exterior shows its age. Spine is sunned; covers and all edges and corners are rubbed; all corners lightly bumped; some staining to spine. Despite all this it is still an interesting solid copy of a very very scarce title.</p><p>According to the Trotsky Internet Archive "<em>This book is very rare and to our knowledge been published only once by Blue Ribbon Books a now defunct New York publishing house in 1925. The translator remains unknown although the title page of the book indicates that this is an 'authorized translation'. By whom we don't now know. Sections of this book have been republished as pamphlets over the years by the supporters of Leon Trotsky but this book remained 'out of print'"</em> untilan electronic version was published on the Trotsky Internet Archive.</p><p>Photo is of the copy we have here at Barbed Wire Books.</p> Blue Ribbon Books hardcover
