First published in 1886 this scarce pamphlet describes the principal routes into Yosemite Valley offers a table of distances between points of interest and provides useful information for campers including a list of items with prices for sale at the valley General Store and rates for rental of saddle horses and carriages. Of less practical use to the traveler but interesting for the reader are detailed tables showing the number of visitors to Yosemite in 1883 1884 and 1885 broken down by state or country of origin and month of visit.
