Issue number 10-68 of the May 13 1968 4-page labor brochure "Memo from Cope" promoting the candidacy of Hubert Horatio Humphrey nicknamed "3-H" by them. Penned in blue ink at the upper left is a bitter note by Spiro Agnew then Governor of Maryland addressed to his chief of staff Arthur J. Sohmer: "Art - Ask our labor friends why they're always able to go 'gung-ho' for some people but can't find a buck for others". Unsigned but penned in Agnew's hand. The brochure is folded for mailing with the mailing label addressed to "Hon S T Agnew" at the Governors Mansion Annapolis MD. There is minor soiling along the top edge of the brochure else near fine. <p>The brochure lists George Meany as Chairman.<p>Arthur J. Sohmer 1926-1991 was Chief-of-Staff to Vice President Spiro T.
