With the acquisition in recent years of multiple Egyptological libraries (those of Prof. Herman te Velde; Prof. Mathieu Heerma van Voss, Prof. Baudouin van de Walle; Prof. Michel Malaise; Prof. Herman De Meulenaere; Egyptologist Jacobus Visser, and former Trustee of the Egypt Exploration Society, Stewart Dale White), we now hold several thousands of rare offprint monographs which were collected over many years by these scholars. This is a very good hardcover copy in flexible boards, and distinctive dust jacket, with some wear. The jacket has been glued down to the boards. The front panel of the jacket, jet black with the standing male figue is very good, the white spine with the title in large black letters is also very good, a little loss to one edge. The all white rear panel has a few scrapes. The interior is generally very clean, but a former owner name on the front endpaper in ink, and some of the first pages are browning, for example the color plate frontispiece is fine, but the margins around the plate have tanned, this also affects the title-page, sort of framing the printed author, title and publisher information. The text pages are clean. Text in French. This is one of the limited edition of 100 'Chapelle' copies, this one is stamped CH 26. The 210 color and black & white plates are all clean. This part of the book has a bump to the lower right corner. 13" high X 9" wide, 199 text pages + plates. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
