This is a very good two volume set handsomely bound in later tan cloth bindings ruled and titled in gilt, with only light wear. The original softcover wrappers (front covers) have been tipped-in and inset into the cloth front covers. Very clean inside and out. A little chipping to the front endpapers' top edges of volume 1, otherwise fine. These volumes once belonged to a top New York art magazine and there is one small handstamp with their name to one of the blank endpapers of volume 2, but no other marks.Text in French.
