Clear handwritten content including receipt of the deposit from Richard Pettitt. Family history records show that when Richard Pettitt was born on December 10 1812 in Glemsford Suffolk England his father Richard was 22 and his mother Hannah was 19. is occupation was: Carpenter. He married Maria Adams on June 24 1835 in his hometown. They had nine children in 15 years. He died in September 1853 in Suffolk England at the age of 40. In the 1851 census he is listed as a pauper. I therefore assume he was seriously ill. I would be interested in any further information. Glemsford, Suffolk: 7th September, 1841 . unknown
