1869k251216h<p><strong>The Marriage Contract / Trustdeeds of Mr. & Mrs Cochrane</strong></p><p><strong>Manuscript prenuptial agreement Scotland 1869</strong> 19 pp. In 8-1/2"x14" ruled ledger book brown suede with red labels on front and spine gilt lettering.</p><p><strong>A manuscript Contract of Marriage</strong> between James Cochran a Glasgow manufacturer and Miss Margau Clepham March 1869. No unusual terms – mostly providing for disposition of Cochran's estate upon his death with guarantees to Ms. Clepham and providing for the education and welfare of any children who might issue from the marriage. The ledger is 1.5" thick but this contract is the only entry.</p><p><strong>CONDITION: Good</strong>; text block fine; binding heavily rubbed with major loss at corners and lower spine.</p> n.p. hardcover
