Publisher's parchment over boards titled in gilt on spines; fore- and bottom edges untrimmed; 224213pp; illus; printed on Italian mold-made paper. Bindings slightly toned with age somewhat darker on spines; faint foxing to prelims and tissue-guards but the text remains fresh and clean mostly unopened. Though uncredited in the publication the translation and substantial biographical introduction are by the Boston author and translator Nathan Haskell Dole 1852-1935. The Bibliophile Society unknown
