"Mayer Karl Von Rothschild of Frankfurt grandson of the 'first' rothschild acquired from an unknown sourch two gold enamelled cups which were made n England by Frances Nelme. When he died in 1886 his collection of objets d'art was divded between his five daughters. One of the two cups passed to his daughter Adele who bequeathed it to the Musee de Cluny in Paris.
