Sir John Sinclair inaugurated the British Wool Society at a large sheep-shearing festival held in 1791 at Newhalls Inn, Queensferry. An extremely rare trade catalogue from this little known Essex firm of pottery goods, it illustrates such items as vases, pedestals, flower pots, rustic jardini?res, boot warmers, rhubarb pots, bricks & tiles and art pottery. No other copy of this or any other trade catalogues from this Essex firm have been located.
