Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. "New" edition, complete in one volume, 354 pages, a couple illustrations at front.
No inscriptions or marks to contents. A very clean very tight copy with clean boards, slight marking to front page edges and very minor bumping to upper rear corner. En 1807 il organise un important recensement de la population et de l'agriculture puis des enquêtes sur l'industrie et l'enseignement . Son ouvrage donne un large panorama du département tant du point de vue de la population que des activités, de l'enseignement, des contributions.

In 1813 he joined William Atkinson, architect to the ordnance in London, and in 1823 went into private practice as a civil engineer.
