1933BK-1981345e4ac4United States Government Printing Office 1933. Softcover/Paperback. Good. This 'Report of the National Screw Thread Commission' is a governmental technical document published in 1933 by the Bureau of Standards. It provides comprehensive details on the engineering standards for screw threads as established by the commission. This fourth edition revised in 1933 is crucial for understanding historical development in mechanical engineering practices. The content spans various technical specifications and standards crucial for engineers manufacturers and researchers in the mechanical and manufacturing sectors. It serves as a reflection of the technological strategies and governmental approaches to standardization in the early 20th century. The publication was overseen by the U.S. Department of Commerce led by Daniel C. Roper with Lyman J. Briggs as Director of the Bureau of Standards. Their leadership assured that the document maintained the highest standards for accuracy and utility.Physically the book is a softcover indicative of government publications from that era and shows typical signs of wear but retains its structural integrity. The lack of a dust jacket as is typical with such government documents does not detract from its scholarly completeness. This report is a valuable collectible for enthusiasts and researchers of engineering history offering tangible insight into the governmental processes and technical standards of its time. The cover shows signs of wear particularly at the edges but the pages are clean and intact. There is mild age toning given its age.Publisher: United States Government Printing Office. Year: 1933. Actual item shown in the photos. Ships from Montreal Canada.
