The second edition of this uncommon work published in the same year as the first edition.Complete in two volumes.Here translated into English by Arthur Levy originally written in French by Stephen Louis Simeon.An extensive two volume biography looking deeply into the personal life and career of the tyrannical Napoleon Bonaparte from his birth and family life up to his exile and death.Illustrated with a frontispiece to each volume. One page of adverts to the rear of Volume I. Volume I bound without the half-title. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally smart. Spines are a little faded. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some light marks to the boards and spines. Small tide mark to the head of the spine of Volume II. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few light spots. Volume I bound without the half-title. Stamp of John N. Bullen to various pages throughout each volume.
