La traduzione è fedele, per scoprire meglio l'originale lingua magiara. Il 2013 è Anno Culturale Ugheria-Italia per promuovere "l'antica amicizia che lega questi due popoli". Il libro si rivolge sia agli italiani che desiderano familiarizzare con la lingua magiara, sia agli ungheresi che studiano l'italiano o vivono in Italia. È un piccolo ponte gettato per favorire lo scambio interculturale e la conoscenza tra italiani e ungheresi. Da molti proverbi si può intravedere il modo di pensare di un altro popolo. E conoscere meglio il proprio. Come dice un proverbio ungherese: Ahány nyelvet tudsz, annyi ember vagy, "quante lingue sai, tante persone sei". Leopardi riteneva che la conoscenza di più lingue rendesse più chiaro il pensiero. Ciò che risulta poco esprimibile in una lingua può diventare più comprensibile in un'altra. Perciò, questo è anche un piccolo libro per viaggiare nel pensiero.
