The first pages are lists of the members for 1931 & 1932. The minutes start with undecipherable 26 1931 and contiues to 28 June 1939. The next page is a typewritten page concerning the reorganization of the Club dated 22 Jan 1950. The minutes then proceed from 15 Feb 1950 ending on 13 June 1970. The book is in only fair condition with the cloth spine loose on one side. An original "record" book it it rubbed on the surface and at the corners & edges. Not quite disbound. The last page is a list of members as of 1950. Sound like a pretty nice bunch with the usual problems we all have keeping small groups going and attracting new members. Some of this could be taken directly from the minutes of our American Legion meetings or visa-versa. An interesting piece of Masonic history. ; 10"; 300 pages . Alpha Lodge #116 hardcover

Top fore corner of first leaf has a neat tape repair from back side. Original stitched binding holding well. A few leaves unopened. The Grand Lodge met in Raleigh the first week of December 1864. In his address herein Grand Master Eli Faucette Watson alluding to the Civil War and the Confederacy notes that the ancient fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons has nobly sent forth many valiant sons "who have sacrificed their lives in defence of Liberty and against the usurpation of a despot and tyrant and will ever be ready to stand side by side with the bravest of North Carolina's sons in vindicating our rights and institutions."<br /> <br /> Much additional content relating to Masonic business in North Carolina including treasurer's reports membership reports and more. <br /> <br /> Ref.
