This copy inscribed "Lord William Lennox souvenir de la part de l'auteur Napoleon Louis B" part of the 'B' lost to the binder's knife. Lord William Pitt Lennox 1799-1881 was a British Army officer and writer of bad novels. He preferred sport horseracing literature and other entertainments to military life - a life cut short by blindness in one eye. J. Dumaine unknown
