C'est pourquoi il m'est permis d'espérer, de désirer, que la description, entreprise dans ce livre, du chancelier d'Etat autrichien, corresponde vraiment à la vérité historique".?

La seconda guerra macedonica (200 a.C.-197 a.C.) venne combattuta da Roma, alleatasi con Attalo I di Pergamo e Rodi, contro Filippo V di Macedonia che era al fianco del re di Bitinia, Prusia BICKERMAN, allievo del grande Michael Rostovtzeff, poi nella Humboldt Universität di Berlino. Specializzato nella cultura giudeo-ellenistica. Fino al 1933 scrisse impotanti monografie in tedesco. Ebreo, fuggì i nazisti, sempre docente nelle migliori Università, in Francia (come si vede da questo saggio), poi nel 1942 a New York, poi a Los Angeles. Poi si ritirò in Israele. Saggio fondamentale.

Il volume presenta i mosaici rinvenuti nel nartece della grande basilica di Heraclea. In buono stato di conservazione (good copy).
