brossura Il volume approfondisce diversi aspetti della riforma del processo canonico di nullità matrimoniale, introdotta da Papa Francesco con la promulgazione dei motu proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus e Mitis et Misericors Iesus. Tra le novità principali, volte a consentire una giusta celerità e semplicità del processo, vanno menzionate l'abrogazione dell'istituto plurisecolare della doppia sentenza conforme per il passaggio a nuove nozze e il nuovo processo breviore dinanzi al Vescovo. Muovendo dalla consapevolezza delle situazioni matrimoniali difficoltose di molti fedeli, questa riforma si ispira ad alcuni principi fondamentali che le conferiscono una spiccata connotazione pastorale, ferma restando la necessità di salvaguardare secondo verità e giustizia il principio della indissolubilità del vincolo matrimoniale. Un quadro complessivo del processo più breve, dei principi ispiratori e degli aspetti innovativi della riforma, potrà contribuire al compito quanto mai urgente di formare validi e preparati operatori dei Tribunali ecclesiastici.
