Första upplagan av detta i utlandet mycket inflytelserika arbete om samhällsomvandlingar i Sveriges historia utkom redan 1695 och trycktes sedan i en mängd upplagor ännu så sent som 1850 utkom nya. Den behandlar nästan uteslutande Gustav Vasas maktövertagande och reformationen och sträcker sig fram till Gustav Vasas död. En fortsättning på franska skrevs av Olof Celsius Setterwall 1176. unknown
