A first hand account of the final days of Louis XVI imprisoned with his family including wife Marie Antoinette at Temple prison a former fortress of the Knights Templar. The King was executed by guillotine on January 21 1793 while still imprisoned in the Temple. This first hand account of these final days was written by Cléry the King's valet. hardcover

Cléry Jean-Baptiste Cant Hanet 17591809 was kamerdienaar en lijfknecht van Lodewijk XVI en hij diende de koning tijdens diens gevangenschap in de Tempel. Na de executie van Lodewijk XVI bleef Cléry nog enige tijd vastzitten maar werd vrijgelaten in 1794. unknown
