This is a homemade binding with brown paper covering brown cardboard. A taped paper title label located in the upper left corner of the front cover. The paper is chipped on the spine. The lower corner section of the covers have been gnawed but there is no missing contents inside. The hinges are made of white linen tape. The title page is an original typed page showing offset with some of the typed letters. This is not a copied page. The first 8 pages were taken from an old ledger and the last 4 pages were taken from another ledger with smaller paper size. The 12 pages stitched together list handwritten names and dates of the marriages from the 1730's to late as 1799. There is a small oval bind stamp from the Long Island Historical Society located on the typed title page. No other markings. This same list appears on a web site by typing in the title. Fair.
