Drawing is linen backed and has been repaired. <br /> <br /> Several branches of the Kimber family drawn. Bottom of the tree starts with "Richard Kimber married Mary Preddy they were from Bristol England. Son born 1738." Tree appears to be be drawn in two different hands. The older ink portions are dated up to 1780. Smaller tree portions have dates from 1887-1915. Several family names recorded. However there are no locations other than Bristol England mentioned. No information for "Crane 1922" located on the tree. Based on the available genealogical resources online it is likely that Richard Kimber emigrated to America in the 1700's. <br /> <br /> From wikitree: A GENEALOGICAL HISTORY OF THE DESCENDANTS OF RICHARD KIMBER OF GROVE NEAR WANTAGE BERKSHIRE ENGLAND<br /> <br /> Richard Emigrated to Pennsylvania and d. RICHARD KIMBER Isaac Richard b. probably in Wantage Berkshire England m. Mary Freddy. He and his wife emigrated to America sailing from Bristol England and settled in Pennsylvania. He was a farmer. By a warrant dated April 5 1749 he obtained a patent for sixty seven acres of land and allowance—the patent being dated August 15 1753. He died in 1753. By his will dated Feb. 15 1753 and proved Feb. 26 1753 he gave half of his property to his wife and the other half to his son Richard Freddy called Freddy in the will but always known as Richard Freddy after his father's death and his daughter Sarah. His executors were Thomas Edmonds and Robert Chalfont who sold the land to Daniel Every April 29 1757. Richard and Mary lived and died at West Bradford township Chester Co. A hand written note on Donald Lines Jacobus letterhead addressed "Dear Minot" is laid inside next to page 97. A two page hand wriiten letter by Edna M. Agan is found between pages 150-151. A small typed note from Julia DeLong dated April 15 1959 found with the letter. The typed noted states Mr. Snyder thinks Mr. Pitman would be interested on the additional information.
