The title became extinct on the death of the fourth Baronet in 1960.The 95 images were taken by various mostly UK photographs There is one portrait of the 3 rd Baron William Yorke in his Hussar uniform taken by P. Vuccino of Fort Bombay India. I have not attempted to remove many of the cards since their removal would result in damage to the album. 1951020506Kennett Missouri: Thrower Printing Company 1951. A reading/reference copy. Recasing candidate with cover is in poor condition. Text pages are Very Good -- complete and entirely legible. The black cloth cover is stained and worn. Inner hinges are cracked. Cover is only partially attached to the text block. Gilt lettering on the spine is badly faded. However all pages are present and completely legible. The text block is still bound together making this a suitable candidate for fairly inexpensive recasing. No year of publication is indicated but the foreword by Charles B. Baker is dated 1951. This is Volume Number One a history of Dunklin County Missouri with biographical sketches and photos of many residents and historical pioneers. We normally would not offer for sale a book in this condition this bad. However the book is incredibly scarce and the content extremely valuable. This copy is inscribed on the endpapers by Mary Nola Johnson Osburn to her son Martin Gaylyn Osburn.
