This is the first edition in English of the Warsaw Ghetto diary written from May to August 1942 by Janusz Korczak 1878-1942 who was a Polish doctor author of over 20 books and head of an orphanage caring for some two hundred children. Korczak declined repeated offers of rescue choosing instead to remain with the children. He was exterminated in August 1942 at Treblinka. Bound in the original green wraps stamped in black.
