201911493Ft. Lauderdale FL 2019. Artist's book unique an altered book signed by the artist on the rear pastedown "DKrause." Page size: 5 x 8 inches; 20pp. Bound by the artist: in the original boards of a used copy of the 100th anniversary edition of this children's classic. The artist removed the covers spine and eight illustrations and inserted a strip of ochre leather which became the new spine. Details from the original black and white illustrations were then watercolored and placed on botanically-printed pages. The whole was then bound using original boards of anniversary edition and a slipcase made using the original spine of the book. The artist's title ANNE with an e is written in pencil by the artist below the cover portrait of "Anne." taken from a postcard. This altered book was occasioned by the artist's visit to Charlottetown PEI the setting for Montgomery's story. unknown books

She is the daughter of a missionary who has been killed by a local tribe. Harry cannot hide his antagonism toward Erica. She would become a teacher of special education after rehabilitation and married a trucker named John Boothe in 1976. She was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 1967 and died in 2012. <br/><br/>Director Peerce's notable film debut as director "One Potato Two Potato" 1964 was a groundbreaking drama about an interracial marriage and one of the first films to portray such a relationship. He would later marry and divorce Marilyn Hassett who plays Jill in the film she won a Golden Globe for her debut role. Beau Bridges costars as her love interest. A presentable copy of Lucy Maud Montgomery's eighth book signed by Montgomery on the front endpaper. Her Boston publisher L. C. Page had refused to consider publishing her poems. This is the first of this Canadian author's writings to appear from a Canadian publisher and is dedicated "to the memory of the gallant Canadian soldiers". The title poem "The Watchman" was read at Montgomery's funeral. One of the more difficult of her books to obtain in decent condition. There is just a trace of rubbing to the spine and very scattered foxing. Blue cloth binding stamped in gilt which has darkened. Very Good binding / no dust jacket.
