Prima edizione. Esemplare in stato più che buono (brossura con due limitate gore e angolo inferiore mancante al piatto anteriore, lieve brunitura perimetrale; carte pulite). Rarissimo. Edizione del gennaio 1976 del «Manuale per la Coltivazione della Mariuana» di Stampa Alternativa attribuito all’International Committee for Fighting Fascist Drugs di Chicago, con 10 pagine supplementari rispetto all’edizione del 1975. La pubblicazione si proponeva di fornire tutte le informazioni fondamentali per coltivare in proprio mariuana in modo efficace aggirando leggi e divieti e si inseriva nel filone di manuali di educazione rivoluzionaria e controculturale voluti dalla romana Stampa Alternativa - simbolo fondamentale e straordinariamente longevo delle “alternative press” italiane realizzate sul modello di quelle anglo-americane - e dal suo ideatore e direttore responsabile Marcello Baraghini. Un’opera di diffusione di materiali considerati inaccettabili dalla morale dominante e della politica del tempo - trasversalmente, giacché Baraghini, già sodale di Marco Pannella e del nascente Partito Radicale negli anni Sessanta, era detestato dal centro democristiano e dalla destra ma poco piaceva anche alla sinistra più ortodossa - che mirava a dare istruzioni pratiche, concrete, immediatamente realizzabili per spezzare qualsivoglia condizione di oppressione o di limitazione della libertà. Ecco allora, oltre a questo prontuario per coltivare mariuana - così da affrancarsi, per altro, dalle droghe “fasciste”, ovvero dalle droghe pesanti che gli Stati lasciavano circolare per spezzare o indebolire le forze e la lucidità dei giovani contestatori -, il caso, tra i tanti, di «Contro la famiglia. Manuale di autodifesa e di lotta per i minorenni»: uscita nel 1975, questa pubblicazione costò a Baraghini una denuncia - provocata dalla segnalazione di un giovane neofascista e dalla richiesta avanzata, in televisione, dall’allora direttore di «Il Borghese» Mario Tedeschi e senatore del Movimento Sociale Italiano affinché la magistratura intervenisse - per incitamento all’aborto (e più in generale per aver cercato di minare l’autorità parentale e la supposta sacralità della famiglia) e una condanna a 18 mesi di reclusione. La latitanza in Toscana e l’amnistia del 1977 avrebbero poi permesso a Baraghini di evitare il carcere e di riprendere a pieno regime l’attività di Stampa Alternativa, rilanciando questa straordinaria vicenda editoriale di lotta con nuove iniziative che prenderanno forma negli anni e nei decenni successivi: la collana «Fiabesca» - con l’edizione, ad esempio, di «Alice nel paese delle meraviglia» di Carroll e di testi di Antonin Artaud - o «Eretica» che, nel 1994, pubblicherà per prima una versione parziale del fin lì ignorato - e in seguito acclamato - «L’arte della gioia» di Goliarda Sapienza. Senza dimenticare i volumi raccolti nella serie «Millelire», nata con l’intento di diffondere a pochissimo prezzo - 1000 lire, appunto - opere di vario genere. Tutt’oggi attiva, nel 2005 Stampa Alternativa ha deciso di diffondere gratuitamente via internet - sotto licenza “Creative Commons” - molti suoi titoli, proseguendo una ormai cinquantennale esperienza di radicale e coerente militanza intellettuale.
