'Bombastes Furioso' a play by William Barnes Rhodes. This satirical piece of theatre is regarded as Rhodes seminal work. Illustrated with 7 plates by George Cruikshank collation unavailable. And finally 'Monsieur Tonson' by John Taylor. Illustrated with 7 plates by Robert Cruikshank collation unavailable. George Cruikshank was a noted caricaturist and illustrator of the nineteenth century. With an overtly comic tone Cruikshank's artwork features in many literary works of the period.
